Dear GlobalGiving,
Before anything else, we wish to thank you for the Covid Relief support you afforded GlobalShare. The clinic in Moswhani Village, Kalakan Province is 40 miles north of Kabul. As an outpatient clinic, it provides general medical care, vaccination, pre- and post-natal care, minor surgery, dental wor and birth control. The clinic provides these services to 9000 villagers.
Awareness of Covid-19 began in March 2020, the clinic staff started taking the necessary preventive measures and information dissemination of the how to protect themselves and others by wearing masks. When coming to the clinic, temperature of patients are taken and recorded, and hands are sprayed with alcohol. If a patient has fever and other signs and symptoms of Covid they are referred to the special center for Covid-testing. So far there has been no case of Covid-19 diagnosed at the clinic.
Moshwani is a very isolated village. During the harsh winters the clinic witnesses more cases of respiratory disease requiring antibiotics and other necessary medication.
God bless and thank you for all your support.
