Our clinic in Moshwani Payan village in Kalakan province located 40 miles north of Kabul. This clinic has been serving the Moshwani village community since 2005.
This outpatient primary clinic has been providing internal medicine, Pre and Post-natal care, Birth control, dental ,vaccination and minor surgery.
This clinic is free of charge.
The Organization for the Advancement of Afghan Women (OAAW) is responsible for the salary oh 11 employees, and keeping the pharmacy with adequate medical supplies, and also the maintenance of the clinic.
During this difficult time fighting the Corona Virus pandemic we have to teach the patients and the community the proper procedures. We provided them with soap and diluted alcohol solution, that is the cheapest and available antiseptic that we can get.
Our nurse showed the patients how to make their own maskes,since the disposables are not available. At the door entrance the nurse takes the temperature and spraying the hands of the patients with diluted alcohol solution.
Average patients visits per day is 60 to 70. The cost of one soap is 10 Afghani(US$1.00 is 78 Aghani).
