Kindly help young single mothers to acquire skills and values so that they generate sustainable income for themselves and their children through decent and safe means
With unemployment at 86% hence high poverty, so many girls in the slums of Bwaise donot go to school and lack basics like pads. At young and helpless ages, so many have been raped, parents marry them off to avoid grooming expenses while others trying to earn a living are employed in small logdes and bars working as attendants. A large number of the girls are made pregnant and abandon by men. With no hope due to lack of skills, so many have resorted to prostitution s so as to look after children
The project aims at starting a training workshop which will enroll young single mothers to acquire skills in tailoring, hair braiding, shoe making, ICT and values while providing services to the community thus generating sustainable income
