A magic beyond all words!

By Wen Hung | Project Leader

Be patient and wait
Be patient and wait

NN, who is a 2-year-1-month old boy, joined our class in February this year. According to the ICF-CY-based FUNDES-Child assessment, NN, with mild disabilities has been identified with three categories including mental functions & structures of the nervous system, functions & structures of/involved in voice and speech, and neuromusculoskeletal and movement related functions & structures.

“We found he has made excellent progress even he only joined us 4 months ago. At the beginning, he showed poor attention and concentration in the class and cannot walk steadily while comparing to other 2 years old children. Through the training in each class, NN was a passive recipient of constant instruction and stimuli, and he has increased the concentration and motor skills significantly throughout the musical story.

With the improvement of NN’s participation, we provided the music therapy combined with physiotherapy, and he now can walk well. His progress is obvious, everyone can see that.”

- Message from TFCF social worker

Nonstop musical magics

Thank you for participating in our project through GlobalGiving! When we give the music therapy to children with developmental delay, we feel music as a magic beyond words. We provide 40~45 music therapy classes to 71 disability or developmental delay children monthly. With you support, we are able to offer a free music magician to needy children, and we will keep improving our course and give the best services to them continually.

TFCF new projects in GlobalGiving

In order to serve more needy children in the world, we have launched 4 new projects in 4 countries including Mongolia, Vietnam, Swaziland, and Cambodia. We would provide services through our overseas branch offices. Definitely, we cannot do it without your support. We would like to invite you to participate with us again and expect to be your trustable partner to maximize the benefits of needy children in these four countries. Welcome to review our projects and join us to bring more assistances for disadvantaged children together. It’s great to have you with us.

Mark the Bonus Day date on your calendar!!

Remember GlobalGiving Rewards Bonus Day? It’s coming again and we are participating in 2017 GlobalGiving Reward Bonus Day beginning from 9am EDT to 11:59pm EDT on Wednesday, July 12th! On this day TFCF will be matched at 40% while the $110,000 in matching funds remain. All day long there will be a 100% match on new recurring donations and, at the end of Bonus Day, the projects with the most funds raised and the most donors secured will each receive a $1,000 bonus prize. Additional prizes include social media promotion, homepage time, and a feature in GlobalGiving donor newsletter! We sincerely invite you to support TFCF continually and encourage you to get donations in early, because matching funds will likely run out before the end of the day. Just click here to find all TFCF projects in GlobalGiving and support our work on July 12th.

Thank you and wish you all the best.

With gratitude,

Wen Hung
