PROGRAM UPDATES
Kosovo
For over a year, the ethnically-mixed bands in our Rock School in Mitrovica have been writing songs together. This spring, we plan to launch three new mixed bands, connecting an even higher number of our students through inter-ethnic activities.
Palestine
Earlier this month, we were invited by the Al-Khader Charitable Child Care Society to run a Musical Playground for 150 children.

Uganda
Last month, we continued our training with 30 Community Music Leaders in Kampala, with a focus on creative music-making. Read more
Northern Ireland
In January, we returned to Northern Ireland to continue training local musicians and community workers to become community music leaders. Read more
The Netherlands
Last weekend, we ran our third Welcome Notes training in Amsterdam, reaching over 20 musicians from the UK, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. The training was led by Otto de Jong, Hanno Tomassen and special guest Darren Abrahams.

You can tune in live to our expert meeting on the arts and social inclusion on March 15-16 in Heek, Germany. The meeting will showcase a broad range of community arts programs working towards the social inclusion of refugees and migrants in different European countries and contexts. Our advanced trainings are open to musicians, music therapists and music students who are active as workshop leaders, teachers, or social activists and who would like to further their knowledge of using music as a tool for peacebuilding and social change. Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
