Dear Supporter,
We are very pleased to tell you that the National Scholarship Program, Australia has recently received a corporate grant from one of Global Giving's corporate partners, Northrop Grumman.
It is wonderful to see companies getting behind our projects and offering their support! It is imperative that we are able to give our young people opportunities like these because in today's world the youth face an opportunity divide- a gap between those who have access to the skills and training that they need to be successful, and those who do not. Thank you, Northrop Grumman!
As you know, we work with an Australian partner, Young People Without Boarders, to identify Australian scholars who would otherwise not be able to experience volunteer programs in international locations, and send them on a trip of a lifetime. While they are on project with GVI they are exposed to a whole new set of skills, methods of approaching tasks and insights into the way other people live.
Our scholars almost always return home with a new sense of wonder at the world, better understanding of global issues and an ignited passion for making a difference. It is wonderful to be able to witness this and we are looking forward to seeing this initiative grow and expand.
Last year we told you about a scholar, Tys, who would be joining us in Nepal this year. He has recently finished his 6 month placement and we can't wait to share his experiences with you in the next update.
Thank you once again to Northrop Grumman and to all of our donors!
With Gratitude,
GVI-Charitable Trust
