Dear Supporters,
It is proving to be a long process of coordination with our potential partners but we are slowly making progress!
We are edging closer to signing up our first group of students from a college in Victoria. We can't yet reveal too many details as nothing is finalised, so we hope you will bare with us until we can! We can say that we are really excited about this trip and the possibilities it is going to open up for future students as well as the opportunities it will present to these students.
The trip that is in the pipeline is a group of nursing students to join one of GVI's healthcare programmes in Asia (exact location still to be confirmed!). All of the students hail from rural Australia and have never been exposed to an international learning opportunity. We are so excited about the prospects of them travelling abroad, being exposed to a different learning environment and being able to share their knowledge with others.
We are in the beginning stages of onboarding new trip providers to join our scholarship programme. What this means is that we will be able to offer our scholars a wider selection of trips to choose from. All trip providers must meet certain criteria before we will send scholars on their trips. This includes, among other things, student support, the ability to award the student with certification, health and safety and emergency action plans.
We hope that our next update will have more information about the trip we are planning as well as our new trip providers, until then, we thank you for your generous and ongoing support.
