Natuurpunt Ham manages nature reserves De Rammelaars and Veldhovenheide in Ham and Balen. As an active group of volunteers, we regularly organize activities, walks and nature conservation activities for young and old.
With the age of technological advances, people spend more time indoors and disengaged from nature. This disengagement can lead to decreased regard, appreciation, and knowledge for the natural environment at a crucial time when we need to be caring for the environment now, more than ever before.
Natuurpunt Beheer offers guided walks for adults and children, courses, and additional outdoor activities to engage people in the nature reserves in Ham and Balen. This offers people the opportunity to explore and experience nature around them in a guided, safe, and learning environment.
Research shows that people with a greater connection to nature are more likely to behave positively towards the environment, wildlife and habitats, as well as live healthier and happier. Through Natuurpunt Beheer's programs, people can build an enduring relationship with nature, critical for future nature conservation, as well as benefit their mental and wellbeing health.
