The remote villages Himalayan HealthCare has served for 24 years have been devastated by last year's earthquake in Nepal. Schools, homes and health clinics were leveled and agriculture and other forms of livelihood were destroyed. Your donation will support Himalayan HealthCare's on-the-ground volunteers and health workers as we help these communities rebuild.
The remote mountain villages of Tipling, Shertung, Lapa and Jharlang in Dhading District have been hard hit by the recent earthquake in Nepal. Communities in these remote villages, some a three days walk from the nearest road, have been leveled. Initial reports suggest high death tolls with survivors trapped without food or water. Donations will directly benefit the communities in these four villages.
Himalayan HealthCare has been working in the Dhading villages for 24 years. We have staff and volunteers on-the-ground in the disaster areas and have mobilized other health workers from Nepal to support our relief and recovery efforts. Much has been accomplished in the past year but Nepal still needs your help. Funds will help us rebuild schools and provide other long-term support to victims.
All donations will support earthquake recovery and relief efforts in the remote mountain communities of Tipling, Shertung, Lapa and Jharlang. Initially, donations will help our first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products and shelter. Once initial relief work is complete, donations will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts including the rebuilding of schools and the provision of micro-loans.
