Devastating floods have swept through parts of Nepal, displacing families, damaging homes and schools, and disrupting children's education. Yours Humanly Nepal scholars and their families are among those affected. This project will provide urgent relief to children, families, and communities as needs are identified on the ground, while supporting affected schools and learning environments, helping communities recover and children safely return to their education.
Flood-affected communities in Nepal face an urgent humanitarian crisis and a difficult recovery. Families have lost homes, belongings, and access to basic necessities, while damaged roads, bridges, and power infrastructure have left communities isolated. Children have lost access to classrooms and learning resources, disrupting their education and sense of stability. Without timely assistance, vulnerable children and families face prolonged hardship and uncertainty.
Yours Humanly will work on the ground to identify the greatest needs and provide emergency assistance, including food, clean water, clothing, essential supplies, and support for displaced children and families. As immediate needs are met, we will help replace educational materials, restore damaged learning environments, and support affected schools and communities so children can safely return to learning. Assistance will extend beyond our scholars to others in affected communities.
Beyond immediate relief, this project will help children, families, schools, and communities across affected areas of Nepal recover and rebuild. By restoring access to education, replacing lost learning resources, and helping create safe learning environments, Yours Humanly will help children return to school, regain stability, continue their education, and move forward with hope and opportunity while strengthening communities and their resilience to future crises.
