Top floor of the new clinic is almost complete!
Top floor of the new clinic is almost complete!

Greetings from Jaipur,

So much to tell you about! These are the highlights and if you want to read more, the links to the full stories are below.

The new clinic is taking shape! Since breaking ground in November, we've completed the full three-story structure — made possible by your generous support. Now comes the exciting part: finishing the facade and ground-floor interior so we can open our doors to entirely new communities. The upper floors are ready to grow with us, offering expanded services down the road. We can't wait to share more about what's coming — click below to learn about the project or to help us get those doors open!

Jaipur heat has been relentless. With temperatures topping 44°C (111°F) for weeks, the toll on children and families without relief is very real. Every summer brings a surge in preventable illnesses — diarrhea, dehydration, and heat stroke — so our teams have been running educational seminars across all our communities, teaching families to spot warning signs and showing children how to prepare Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS), a simple, life-saving response to dehydration.

Three months into tuberculosis treatment, Priya was doing well — fever gone, appetite back, her smile returning. Then came the back pain. Further investigation found the infection had reached her spine, and she needed hospitalization immediately. It took weeks of gentle, patient conversations before she agreed. What followed was two weeks of treatment, a slow recovery, and an ongoing fight against both malnutrition and medical misinformation. Today, Priya is stronger, still taking her needed medications, and still smiling. Her story is about more than tuberculosis — it's about fear, trust, and never giving up on a child.

In April, we held Poshan Pakhwada — a two-week nutrition awareness campaign promoting healthy feeding practices and malnutrition prevention among children. Through initiatives like this, we work to put knowledge directly in the hands of families, giving every child a better chance at healthy growth.

Thanks for being a friend of SKT!
