We have been offered a state of the art new solar panel project and we would like to implement 50 systems in households across Zimbabwe and then install 10 in local farms to run Aquaponic systems to provide crops to the community and then a further 10 systems in schools across Zimbabwe as education is seriously impacted due to long cuts of the electricity, often 11 hours at a time. We want to showcase solar and renewable energy across Africa.
Zimbabwe power is very dated and using fossil fuels and there is little to no investment in the infrastructure planned. Currently power cuts occur daily and last up to 11 hours which means businesses can't operate, boreholes for clean water fail, medical clinics can't store medication, schools are limited and at home children struggle to be entertained. Causing a block for communities across Zimbabwe to tackle poverty, hunger and many other challenges.
Working with the University of Oxford Research and Development team we will install new revolutionary light weight inverters and solar panels to 50 family homes to allow children to read under a light and power equipment and 10 schools to power water pumps for clean water and computers for education. We will also fund 10 solar systems for local farms to run irrigation systems to supply fresh veggies to the local community. This project tackles clean energy, hunger, poverty and education
Long term these families and communities will have power to focus on tackling global issues within their community.
