We haven't received enough funding to improve out training program or to expand our team of professionals, so our efforts have been focused on what we can do together with our current team of volunteers.
We have created a new position at Plastic Oceans: Volunteer Trainer and Hapiness Manager, to develop a monthly activity for our volunteer WhatsApp group. We aim to offer a monthly meeting dedicated to volunteer training, presenting topics/projects, and participating in field activities to improve learning.
We hope that with the support of our donors, to generate a structured online program so we can share our knowledge in an organized way with people interested in participating in our organization.
In the meantime, we continue to educate our volunteers through field activities with our partners.
