World Wildlife Day Celebrations

The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities of Uganda, organized an Art and Story Competition in commemoration of the World Wildlife Day. This was a national competition eligible to all Primary School going children, Grades 4 to 6. 

 725 students from our 16 schools competed.  Pictures had to represent  "The Beauty of Uganda" and the essay topic was "Saving Uganda's Key Living things for a Healthy Environment"

In addition pupils from all 16 schools clebrated this special day with planting trees, drawing conservation posters, community trash cleanup, guest lectures on the environment and the importance of Kibale National Park and community antipoaching outreach.
