Celebrating our center's 4th year1

On April 1, 2026, Pride Center Osaka marked its fourth anniversary.

Over the past four years, more than 6,000 people have walked through our doors. Each visit represents someone finding a place where they can feel safe, accepted, and not alone.

This space exists because of your support. We are truly grateful to each and every one of you who has helped make it possible.

There are many small, everyday moments here, conversations, quiet time, connections, that may not always be visible from the outside, but mean a great deal to those who come. Your support continues to make those moments possible.

Looking Ahead
Pride Center Osaka is sustained by donations from people like you. We hope to continue providing a space where anyone can feel at ease and be themselves.

When the Courts Say No, Community Must Say Yes

To Friends and Allies,

We are writing to you at a critical moment for LGBTQ people in Japan.

The marriage equality lawsuits are still ongoing, but the most recent court ruling once again denied legal recognition for same-sex couples. For many in our community, this decision was devastating. It sent a clear message that their lives and families remain unprotected under the law.

At the same time, anti-DEI movements are accelerating. Hate speech is becoming louder and more visible, and LGBTQ people are feeling the impact every day—at work, at school, and even within their own families.

The result is immediate and real: more people are reaching out to us in distress, seeking safety, understanding, and somewhere they can breathe.

At Pride Center Osaka, we provide:

A free, safe space for LGBTQ people who feel they have nowhere else to go

Free individual consultations for those facing anxiety, isolation, or fear

Support that is available right now, without cost or barriers

Since the recent court ruling, the need for our services has increased. People are coming to us heartbroken, angry, and exhausted. We are doing everything we can to be there for them—but we cannot do it without immediate support.

This is why we are asking you to act now.

Your donation today, for this month of giving, will help us keep our space open, continue offering free consultations, and respond to the growing demand for support during this difficult time. Delays in funding mean real consequences for real people who need help now—not later.
