Children are the future. Ensuring proper investment in the resources to not only feed children, but to help their families, is a step towards a beer and brighter future. In the long run, this is sure to slowly put an end to the growing number of malnourished children worldwide.
Right now, there are approximately 155 million children under the age of 5 who are considered malnourished; this is according to the World Health Organiza&on (WHO) and UNICEF. This is about one in four children, which is one too many children who shouldn't be experiencing malnourishment. There is no global boundary when it comes to child malnourishment. We are calling out to anyone who is driven to changing the circumstances of these children.
One way of tackling the growing number of malnourished children around the world is to educate and engage. A way to provide the necessary resources is to ensure health resources have the required funding to provide care, both long and short-term. Not only is providing the resources from funding and educa&on important to addressing child malnourishment, but this is one step towards ensuring children around the world receive the necessary care.
Every year 3.1 million die as a result of malnutri&on - with funding to the necessary programs and resources, children and families have the opportunity to live healthy and full lives. Addressing the impact of lack of proper nutri&onal resources and informa&on is going to provide long-term bene/ts, from improvements in school performance to economic development and prosperity.
