Dear supporter,
We are heading rapidly towards our 9 year mark since the official launch of Te Aud Romania and within this time we have served over 37,000 direct beneficiaries through a variety of projects of interventions, some of which are developed as an annual mechanism.
Education through sports
Our most nationwide known program, Rugby for all, has been recognised by CSR Media, as part of their annual Romanian CSR Awards, courtesy of an application submitted by DHL Express Romania.
April 2023: Over 100 children have taken part in the Dolhesti Rugby Tag Cup organized by Hatmanul Sendrea Dolhestii Mari Secondary School, under the coordination of teachers Adrian Ilioaia and Marius Corduneanu.
May 2023: Over 200 children were part of the Moldova Regional Mini-Rugby Championship, a competition that brought together children from 6 clubs within Moldova region.
Nonformal education
March – May 2023: Over 400 children participated in dental hygiene workshops, courtesy of Dentalis Gura Humorului – dental and maxillofacial clinic.
April 2023: Courtesy of BCR – the biggest bank in Romania, financial workshops have taken place for our beneficiaries in a variety of locations and schools in Suceava county.
Art as a Bridge
Steps towards inclusion is a project oriented towards intercultural dialogue for social integration of Ukrainian refugee children within Romanian communities, financed by the Efectiv Civic program, developed by FDSC - Foundation for the Development of Civil Society in partnership with RAF - Romanian American Foundation.
During the month of May, we organized, alongside sports activities, collage art workshops, where, by using a variety of materials and techniques, over 85 participants could express themselves and learn about different artistic styles, whilst celebrating diversity and fostering friendships across borders.
The power that children carry with them lies in mobilising communities and grassroots stakeholders, so we can all unite in bridging the gap between past and present. We take this opportunity to thank you for all of your support.
