With 700 people relying on charitable food assistance intervention, Cico Uganda Virtual Food Drives have become an important and impactful way individuals and across communities to help provide meals to neighbors in need and join the fight against hunger.
Communities across multiple states in rural Uganda are experiencing extreme prolonged drought. The future of poor children living in this areas is in darkness. Due to a lack of food these children have empty stomachs ad they can not sustain their being at school. Your donation to this fund will help meet emergency needs, as well as power the efforts into our Food Intervention Basket that can close gaps in response and lead long-term recovery efforts.
Our feeding program provides children with a balanced meal each day. If we raise the additional money needed they will continue to thrive and achieve what they are capable of. The rehabilitation shelter program will work upon providing rehousing for the homeless children in the communities. Psychological services for residents of the shelter provided by volunteer psychologists, also help pave the road back to an ordinary life.
Living in a stable home with food creates a long-lasting and life-changing impact on both families and communities. This project will provide families with safe, secure homes, quality education and health care, and will provide them with the skills, security and self-reliance. We will commit to empower them and reintegrate them safely into society. We also believe that with stable decent homes, children's development and sustainable growth is achieved.
