On-site Vet Visit & Infirmary Makeover

By Rebecca Chidley | Volunteer

Infirmary
Infirmary

Hello Friends,

We are very pleased to let you know that we recently had our first on-site Veterinary visit and more are coming soon! A local Vet who has a great passion for taking care of cats in less fortunate circumsantces spent an entire morning at the santcutary visiting the facilities and attending varios cats in the newly madeover infirmary. Several cats were tested for lukemia, ears were cleaned and a considerable amount were deparasited. During the next visits he will be examining mouths and performing minor dental procedures.

In preparation for these on-site visits, our infirmary received a makeover: walls were painted, a new floor was laid down and everything was given a good deep cleaning. We will now be able to carry out minor medical procedures on-site, while more serious procedures will still be performed in a local clinic. Neverthless this is a huge sucess and we are so pleased to be able to offer this medical care to our cats.

I'm sharing some picutres of the new infirmiary staring with its current residents enjoying the space!
