We at Noor society for People with Disabilities believe that people with disabilities are able to improve and can be independent in many life functions. We cannot let grief, loneliness and helplessness destroy their lives, it is important to provide rehabilitation and treatment as soon as possible.. Our rehabilitation center is located in Aida Palestinian refugee camp and covers an area of 120 square meters. We still need the money to buy a bigger building of 270 square meters with four floors.
We have been supporting people with disabilities since 2010. Our regular assistance is free and used by more than 60 children annually. With an estimated 250 of persons with disabilities in Aida refugee camp alone, we are reaching just 24% of individuals needing treatment. The number of requests for support is increasing daily, any problems because of living in a Palestinian refugee camp. Our experience shows that the earlier a person begins treatment the more effective reduce disability .
We made the decision to find a larger building to support people whose disabilities hinder or prevent independent living. We divided the building into several parts, each with its own purpose. In August 2023, we launched a campaign to purchase a rehabilitation center building. Diagnostics, rehabilitation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults are carried out here every day. We have modern equipment and great specialists. This is the first stage of our investment.
The lives of many disabled people, who live permanently in their homes, are changed in our rehabilitation center. More than 60 disabled children and young people are diagnosed and receive regular and specialized treatment free of charge every year. After a few months of intense work, many of them are restored and live again. Noor Center transforms lives. Please help us to make our vision a reality.
