Blue Atlas has been working with international foundations to develop a comprehensive program to expand the work we started in Abaco, Bahamas to other Islands.
With Blue Atlas's developed programming our aim is to develop Food Equity and Sustainability Training (FEAST) Centers on an additional two islands. Through the FEAST Center we would be poised to offer hands-on, as well as virtual, trainings on a number of climate smart growing techniques. Allowing local farmers to adapt and adopt new technology to increase yield, by maximizing output and reducing imputs.
All of our efforts go to help reduce the dependency on foriegn inputs to create a more secure and sustainable food system.
As we continue to work with the UNDP and other institutions on funding I will keep you all updated. We are looking forward to being back in the Bahamas.
