For the children we serve, hunger is only the beginning. They face a silent, dual crisis: severe malnutrition made deadly by parasitic infections.
Malnutrition weakens their immune systems, stunts growth, and clouds development. But in their weakened state, they become prey to parasites—intestinal worms and giardia that steal the precious few nutrients they consume.
This creates a vicious, life-threatening cycle. A malnourished child gets infected. The parasite leaches nutrients, worsening the malnutrition. The child becomes weaker, more anemic, and in acute physical distress. Their body is consumed from within.
This is a medical emergency. We cannot treat hunger without treating the parasite that fuels it.
We are on the front lines breaking this cycle throughout the community:
· Emergency Nutrition: Life-saving therapeutic food.
· Urgent Deworming: Mass treatment campaigns.
· Clean Water & Hygiene: Prevention to stop reinfection.
But we must act faster. We need your help to deliver more medicine, food, and care. Your support can pull a child back from the brink and onto a path to health.
These children cannot wait. Donate today and help us save lives.
