The tale of resilience about children we serve.
It is the story of a walk to school along a red-earth path, taken in shoes so worn the soles have become thin as paper, letting in the dust and heat. It is the story of a school shirt, washed in a basin so many times the color has faded to a memory, yet worn with pride because it means an education. It is the story of a younger sibling, wearing a hand-me-down dress that is three sizes too large, the fabric swallowed by tiny shoulders.
This is the quiet reality for countless underprivileged children here in Uganda. They are experts at "lasting." They last in uniforms patched and re-patched. They last in shoes held together by hope more than leather. Their incredible spirit shines, but their basic need for decent clothing is a daily challenge.
But you can help weave a stronger, brighter story.
We are asking if you might solicit new or good-quality second-hand children’s clothing (sizes for ages 4 to 16). Imagine helping to write a new chapter for these children.
