Each day, we are met with a sea of faces that tell stories of profound suffering. Countless children, their small bodies battling parasitic infections, cry not from tears, but from a gnawing, relentless hunger. Their clothes are mere tatters, offering no protection. Many have nothing on their feet, walking miles over harsh ground.
Most heartbreaking are the wounds not just of the flesh, though we see too many but of the spirit. You can see it in their eyes: a fading hope that help will ever come.
Yet, in this tide of despair, our commitment is an unbreakable anchor. We are here. We are treating infections, distributing nourishing meals, and wrapping tiny feet in their first pair of shoes. Every clean bandage, every dose of medicine, every warm embrace is a defiant stand against the darkness.
But we cannot do this alone. The scale of the suffering is immense.
