A sustainable initiative to produce and distribute reusable menstrual pad kits to 1,000 underserved girls across three Ugandan districts. By combining product distribution with skills training, health education, and community engagement, we will keep girls in school, protect their dignity, and create lasting local impact
Girls in underserved communities miss an average of 3.5 school days per menstrual cycle – 42 days lost annually. Disposable pads remain unaffordable or unavailable. Stigma and shame erode confidence and drive dropout. Without intervention, 1,000 girls will lose 42,000 school days this year.
Our Solution
We will produce 6,000 reusable pads (6 per girl) through three local production hubs, training 75 women in sewing and enterprise. Each girl receives a complete kit, comprehensive menstrual health education, and ongoing follow-up support. We will partner with 20 schools to create menstrual-friendly environments and train 50 peer educators to sustain knowledge transfer.
Projected Impact
· 3,800 school days to be recovered annually equivalent to 19 full school years
· 1,000 families to relieved of recurring pad expenses
· 75 women to be employed with sustainable income
· 50 peer educators to reach1,000 additional girls
· Millions of disposable pads kept out of landfills
· 20 schools with menstrual-friendly policies to benefit 5,000+ students
We extend our deepest gratitude to every donor who has believed in this vision. Your generosity makes this program possible. Because of you, 1,000 girls will stay in school, 75 women will gain meaningful employment, and entire communities will be transformed. You are not just funding pads – you are funding futures, dignity, and hope. Thank you for standing with us and with every girl who will now walk into her classroom with her head held high.
