Dear supporters,
Keeping girls in school requires more than providing educational materials; it requires families and communities to understand, value, and protect girls’ right to education. Through this program will engage parents, caregivers, teachers, community leaders, young people, and other stakeholders to address the barriers that prevent girls from completing their education.
The Community Awareness & Advocacy Program will create opportunities for meaningful community dialogue on girls’ education, gender equality, child protection, and the consequences of school dropout. Through community meetings, school sensitization sessions, parent engagements, outreach activities, and advocacy campaigns, communities will be encouraged to recognize their role in creating safe and supportive environments for girls.
The program will address challenges including poverty, early pregnancy, child marriage, gender-based discrimination, violence, exploitation, and limited family support. Communities will also be encouraged to identify girls at risk of dropping out and connect them with appropriate support before their challenges become permanent barriers to education.
An important part of the program will be empowering parents and community leaders with knowledge that enables them to make informed decisions and promote positive attitudes toward girls’ education. By strengthening community ownership, we can create lasting change that extends beyond individual interventions.
Donor support will help make this possible by providing resources for awareness campaigns, community dialogues, educational materials, advocacy activities, and stakeholder engagement.
Together, we can inspire communities to protect girls, challenge harmful practices, promote equality, and ensure that poverty or social pressures do not determine a girl’s future. When communities stand together for girls’ education, more girls can remain in school, complete their education, and build brighter futures.
