Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in improving nutrition for postnatal mothers in Nigeria. Your support offers relief to women who are recovering from childbirth while caring for newborns under difficult conditions.
After delivery, many low-income mothers lack access to balanced meals and essential supplements. Poor nutrition leads to weakness, anemia, infections, and reduced breast-milk production. In many rural communities, diets are limited to starchy foods with little protein or micronutrients, placing both mother and baby at risk during the first six months of life. This project will provide nutrient-rich food packs, supplements, and hygiene supplies to new mothers. Community health workers will conduct home visits, teach balanced meal preparation using local foods, and guide mothers on breastfeeding nutrition and safe food handling. These steps will support faster recovery, stronger infants, and healthier households.
Currently, no donations have been received for this initiative. We kindly invite you to support or share this project so postnatal mothers can receive the nutrition they urgently need.
With sincere appreciation,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
