After starting to provide services in Chad Doyaba Refugee Camp in 2014, it was planned to provide regular services with the transition to Sido Refugee Camp in 2016, so the Chad Sido Refugee Health Clinic was established to provide primary health care, nutritional health services, pregnancy control, laboratory-ultrasound services, vaccination, delivery and drug support services all together.
Due to the crisis in the Central African Republic in 2013, more than 110,000 people fled from the violence and sought refuge in camps in southeastern Chad. According to United Nations data, in 2020 there were more than 623,000 Central African refugees in Chad and other neighboring countries. According to official data, 67 out of every thousand babies in Chad die during childbirth due to lack of access to health services and unfavorable conditions. The mortality rate is increasing day by day.
In July 2014, Yeryuzu Doktorlar provided primary health care services for refugees who settled in Doyaba transit camp. After the refugees in Doyaba moved to Sido refugee camp n 2016, a new health center was opened to provide regular services to people in need. Due to the inadequacy of the health system in Chad, there are 3.7 doctors for every 100,000 people in the country. For this reason, as the population in the region is increasing day by day, primary health care services provided.
Tens of thousands of examinations, surgeries, nutritional treatment and delivery services will be added through the efforts of current 22 personnel, thus preventing deaths and diseases caused by this problem in the population with nutritional problems.
