Charity and Empowerment Foundation (CEF) support undernourished patients of tuberculosis (TB) in South Sudan by providing them with nutritious food to prevent them contract diseases resulting from under nutrition. Through provision of nutritious food, we are helping 100 TB patients overcome the effects of the disease and recover from the sickness
In many health centers and hospitals in South Sudan, under nutrition is a leading cause of death of the TB patients. TB patients died of diseases resulted from under nutrition and lack of knowledge of balanced diets and nutritious foods
CEF supplies calorie dense foods, food rich in Vitamin A, C, and E, protein rich foods, food rich in B complex vitamins, and food rich in zinc. By supplying nutritious food to TB patients, we are boosting their immune system and protecting their lives. Incidents of death related to diseases caused by under nutrition for TB patients has reduced and many TB patients recovered from the disease
By supplying nutritious food to TB patients, we not only boost their immune system and protect their lives, but we train them on the right nutritious foods to eat by a TB patient. These TB patients bring the knowledge and experiences to their communities on how to protect TB patients from diseases related to under nutrition.
