Wow!
We remember the first sessions we had with John (not his real name). They were extremely difficult. We could get zero responses from the child. I remember praying for him during that first session, as nothing seemed to work.
This is us two months down the line! We are glad to report on his progress. Now he sits, he takes instructions (such as "go to the bathroom", "sit down", "come here", or "give me." It is much easier to understand him and to work with John.
We got there with the help of sensory trays, busy boards, working with bubbles, and practicing words and short sentences every day. We also give daily coaching to his parents on how to support him more at home.
It is very encouraging to see the relief his mother is getting. In her words " thank you very much. It's so much easier to communicate with him at home."
We are proud of John and we believe you too are! Thank you donors for helping us bring a change in the life of John and his mom.
