Oasis House provides a safe and comfortable living environment for up to 32 homeless or former foster youth (ages 18-25) in addition to guidance and support, including: three well balanced, home-cooked meals every day; a warm bed in a comfortable home every night; all personal care items needed for basic, daily hygiene needs; round-the-clock House Manager to assist with life skills, college enrollment, job search, and establishing savings to become self sufficient.
In San Bernardino County, the number of homeless transitional age youth is staggering - more than 500 have been identified as homeless. These youth are particularly vulnerable and at high-risk for mental health issues and substance abuse.
Oasis House ensures that this population has access to safe, stable housing, as well as support services that are critical to their safety, health, and their ability to become self-sufficient adults.
By providing transitional age youth with basic human needs and guidance for a brighter future, Oasis House gives young people an opportunity to become productive citizens who can contribute positively to our community.
