Summary

The entire world is currently battling the COVID-19 pandemic and Nigeria is not exempted from this battle. For a country designated the poverty capital of the world, many Nigerians are finding it extremely difficult to survive this period with many flouting physical distancing and other preventive measures in the scramble for survival. Obijackson Foundation with your kind support aims to provide food and medical supplies to 500 rural impoverished Nigerians and 500 front-line medical workers

Challenge

COVID-19 has worsened the economic situation in Nigeria - a country already ranked as the poverty capital of the world. With the lockdown and disruption of business activities, more families are being pushed into extreme poverty and are unable to feed. Healthworkers are not left out either as they are subjected to attending to COVID-19 patients without adequate protection. An already fragile health system is worsened with many healthcare workers contracting the disease

Solution

Obijackson Foundation will provide food relief to 500 starving families in rural inaccessible villages in Nigeria and much needed N95 respirators, surgical masks, Personal Protective Equipment and gloves to 500 frontline medical workers managing COVID-19 patients.

Long-Term Impact

This project will provide food relief to starving families and also provide medical supplies to frontline healthcare workers. The food relief will improve the nutritional status of these families and enable them stay safe during this crisis. Healthcare workers will be adequately equipped to attend to COVID-19 patients and other medical emergencies during this period
