Insight Registry is the first patient-reported registry for ocular melanoma to assist researchers in finding clues, patterns and consistencies in ocular melanoma diagnosis. By following trends in patient reporting, A Cure In Sight can assist patients with programs designed for them and the unique needs of being diagnosed with a rare cancer and loss of eyesight.
Ocular melanoma is a rare cancer of the eye that receives little funding. With limited funding, patient-reported outcomes becomes difficult to gather and report on. With the Insight Registry, critical questions can be answered by following diagnosing trends and treatment outcomes.
The Insight Registry in the first of its kind. With patient inputted data, we can collect information that could be useful to researchers to find better treatment options and possibly a cure.
The Insight Registry will have a long term impact on ocular melanoma by showing trends in diagnosis, treatment outcomes, mental health, and metastatic diagnosis. With better insight into trends and the life span of an ocular melanoma patient, researchers and physicians can develop better treatments and possibly a cure.
