NEW YEAR,NEW SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS,NEW HOPES

The new academic year started in October. As usual, applications for METU fund scholarships were plentiful. After artificial intelligence eliminated some of the 1250 applications, we started interviews with 600 students. Eventually, 280 new scholars will join the group and our total number of scholars will reach 500. We, as TEV, increased our scholarship amounts from 800 TL to 1325 TL in our country where we experience much more than the high inflation in the whole world. Although our donations increased by 60% compared to last year, we continue to search for new resources.Our scholarship student Sümeyra participated last year and won the marathon with the donations she collected. Now it's Elif's turn. We look forward to the support of all our donors.

INFLATION ,DEVALUATION EXTREMELY EFFECTED STUDENTS

Graduates
It was completed in the 2021-22 academic year and the final exams were completed. 52 of our scholarshipholders were graduated from university among 81 seniors,and they even started their business life. Unfortunately, the rest have extended their educational life for another year.This year, due to the high inflation in Turkey, as well as devaluation, scholarship holders, especially from low-income families, were in a very difficult situation. Despite the great economic crisis in our country, our donors have helped our fellow students by providing incredible additonal support.We thank all of them. June October 2022, their scholarships were equalized to USD 50 while they received a scholarship of TL800 for approximately USD100 per month in October 2021.TEV Board of Directors increased the scholarship amount to 1200 TL for 80 USD for the 2022-23 academic year. In addition, this year METU OUR FUTURE Fund has set the number of scholarship holders as 500.Thus, when we add those who lost their scholarships this year due to their poor performance and those who were graduated, we will select about 250 new scholarship holders.Scholarship interviews will be online this year.
As we did before the pandemic, we organized scholarship-graduate meetings on campus in the 2021-22 academic year.29 graduates and 719 scholarship holders attended the last meeting.Certificates of thanks to the graduates who came to the meeting were given by Arif Aygündüz.Donors,senior fellows dined together.
As every year, in this year, on the days of Mothers and Fathers, our buriyers called and celebrated the donor mothers and fathers. We have received very good feedback from donors, they were all very pleased

ODTU GELECEGIMIZ FUND REPORT

As it has been going on over 50 years, our work towards providing a chance to academically successful yet financially disadvantaged youth continutes! Gaining attention in the local media and among the well-known non-governmental organisations, ODTÜ Gelecegimiz Burs Fonu is relentlessly working towards providing more students with the needed financial support to help in their academic careers.
In the following education year, the Turkish Education Foundation will do everything in its power to continue providing for the dozens of students who are benefitting from this fund.
We are hoping to enlarge the scope of our work soon, and we would like to use this opportunity to thank all of our supporters for their selfless contributions to this noble cause! This wouldn't be possible without your generous donations, and we would like you to know that your support doesn't go unnoticed: you have become the hope for these young minds who will be the shining stars of Turkey in the future!
