The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI is pleased to share the activities carried out during the months of March and April of the year 2023, where two great events were successfully carried out of which we were part.
CREATE AND DEVELOP SKILLS
Teachers Bernarda and Yumerly taught and helped the children of the Initial Level, to create drawings and crafts in order to develop their skills in the Artistic Exhibition. It was a wonderful day in which the parents of the little ones attended the school to know the creativity that their children have.
The FUNFONAVI family continues to work so that the emerging generation develops in an integral way and has a culture of peace.
HOLIDAY CELEBRATION OF HOLY WEEK
In the month of April, many countries of the world celebrate The Holy Week, a commemorative feast related to the death on the cross and resurrection of a man named Jesus. Some call it THE SEMANA MAYOR, LA SEMANA SANTA, etc.
Families prepare different sweets and meals for the celebration of them. In the Dominican Republic, you can eat fried fish, vegetables, peas, rice and a special dessert called Habichuelas con Dulce! So, The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI prepared a delicious lunch and for dessert some delicious beans with sweets, which each child enjoyed to the fullest!

March and april: 1,270 breakfast and 8,107 lunches.
For a total of 9,377 servings of meals distributed during the months of March and April of the year 2023.

The Bievenido Project FUNFONAVI, is pleased to share the activities completed during the first months of 2023, of which you are part.
At the beginning of January, the children awarded scholarships in the Education Program, resumed the continuity of the 2022-2023 school year, with the satisfaction of seeing their academic evolution.
To celebrate this day, a celebration was held where there was a fun afternoon with various activities and hot dog, ice cream, games, among others.
On January 16, we received the visit of sponsors from The Bievenido Project, from the city of Michigan, who brought many gifts for the children such as flip-flops, clothes, personal hygiene products and sweets.
On February 24, the scholarship students of the initial level, had a recreational activity on the occasion of the Independence Month of the Dominican Republic, with painted faces, drawings of the National flag, where they were also given a nutritious snack.

In 2022, your philanthropist hearts made a profound difference in the area of education;
The lives of 70 children had full pay tuition. We want to acknowledge and recognize the special collaboration of Berenice Albright and her team for holding the 3rd annual fund raising virtual event to support the Bienvenido Project education program. Thank YOU!
Our feeding program served 47,101 meals, which relieved the pain and hunger of about 150 children on a daily basis, which prevented malnutrition and exposure to abuse and child labor.
Your contribution created family bonds! 45 families benefited from the annual Christmas Dinner and about 500 children celebrated with each other “la Noche Buena at the Bienvenido project for the first one held after Covid 19 pandemic... hearing children laughing, singing, dancing, connecting and sharing with each other is a joy of a lifetime.
The Faculty of Psychology of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU) for offering the 2nd workshop for our adolescents in the areas of self esteem, resilience, identity, solidarity, love and respect for themselves and their families.
Our community outreach in 2022 supported and empowered mothers and adolescents with their participation in various workshops to bring social and spiritual values, cooking and fashion jewelry to support their personal growth.

The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI, is pleased to show what we do with each contribution you make to our foundation.
In the month of September, we started the new school year with more than 25 new children, loaded with new emotions, learning and activities to develop their knowledge in this new 2022-2023 school year.
On September 14 at The Bienvenido Project Funfonavi, the specialist Elaine Diaz gave a talk on “HOW TO DEVELOP SKILLS TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE”.
Motivating them to pursue their dreams, until making them come true to improve the living conditions of their entire family.
60 boys and girls between 14 and 17 years old participated in it.
We also offered talks on interpersonal and family relationships, we had a Fun Afternoon with games, a picnic and photos to remember.
In the month of October, the Faculty of Psychology of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU) offered the workshop: Vocational Test for 20 intermediate level students.
On October 22, The Bienvenido Project Funfonavi celebrated at Lub Paraíso: Sueños de Princesas 2022, for 27 fifteen-year-old girls. A celebration that they dream of from a very early age and that thanks to our partner-collaborators, we fulfill their dreams. This year, together with the FUNDACION HUMANIDAD, we made it possible for 6 deaf girls to participate in Sueños de Princesa.
Each girl received a dress, shoes, makeup, had their photos taken, a beauty kit, and a personalized cake. The girls were accompanied by their family and close friends. Some 200 people participated in it.

In the month of July the children and teenagers, The Bienvenido Project FUNFONAVI, enjoyed a spectacular time!
We received a team of more than 10 volunteer Masters, from United State, Brazil and Dominican Republic. The teachers taught the children about Identity, Self-Esteem and Life Purpose, to value themselves, to value their little friends; through the Arts, Games, Talks, Practical English, etc.
They also received breakfasts, lunches, sweets, clothes, flip-flops, etc. The children had fun and learned new things in the week-long celebration
We serve 1008 Breakfasts and 3772 Lunches.
We had a a fun summer. We are in preparation for the celebration of Sueños de Princesa 2022, where 30 teenagers will make their dreams come true, on October 22.
In August, our guest speaker Martha Mateo, gave the talk "Knowing my Emotions", This activity was attended by a group of 52 girls and their knights of honor. They also enjoyed a delicious toast.
We serve 2,921.
