May 2019 record rainfall has created flooding in all 77 counties in the state. Thousands of families have been displaced and homes damaged. Tornadoes, hail, and high winds have also added to the numbers. Your opportunity to help families in crisis, recover homes damaged, and be the hope disaster survivors need is now. Your funds will directly impact a families home by providing for needs like roofing, flooring, drywall... Please help families who have no means of recovery on their own.
Large amounts of rain fall over long periods of time have saturated the ground creating increased run off into rivers and lakes. The rivers are swollen outside their banks and lakes have had to open their damns to release water. All this has created massive flooding around Oklahomas rivers and lakes that lace the state.
Families that have no ability to recover on their own will receive materials and labor at no cost to make their home home again. This project will involve cleaning out all the damaged materials (muck-out) and then to put the home back together with new roofing, flooring, drywall... making the home safe and secure for the families.
Homes that are repaired allow those families to stay in their community making them more resilient. These homes will be repaired so that the health of the family is not jeopardized by the condition of the home they live in.
