We are thrilled to share that our charity has been recognized as a top-ranked nonprofit for 2021 by GlobalGiving, a USA 501(c)(3) tax-deductible organization. This honor is a reflection of the vital support from compassionate donors like you. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing sponsorship, which plays a crucial role in supporting our old age home and feeding program for neglected elderly individuals at the SERUDS Old Age Home.
Since 2012, we have been dedicated to caring for 20 elderly individuals, aged 60 to 90, who were identified in rural villages across Kurnool District in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State. These seniors, who often face severe neglect and isolation, are provided with three nutritious meals a day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many suffer from chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol, requiring them to follow a consistent and balanced diet. We also provide clothing and toiletry kits, ensuring that they have the essentials to maintain a sense of dignity and comfort.
Our team of volunteers and staff closely monitor the health of each resident, arranging biweekly visits to doctors for regular checkups and securing necessary medications based on medical advice. These health checks and consistent care help our elderly residents manage their conditions and enhance their quality of life. Your donations play an invaluable role in meeting these day-to-day needs, and we are profoundly thankful for your generosity.
During our community visits, we often encounter elderly individuals who have been placed in old age homes due to family disputes. Many times, misunderstandings between daughters-in-law and mothers-in-law lead to strained family dynamics, forcing the son to bring his elderly mother to our care facility. Despite such difficult circumstances, our residents find a renewed sense of peace and live their remaining years with dignity and independence, no longer weighed down by family struggles.
