Respected Donor,
Warm greetings from SERUDS!
We are delighted to share updates about the Happy Old Age Home, an initiative dedicated to providing care and support to destitute elders and homeless individuals. This home currently shelters 20 elderly residents, aged between 60 and 90 years, who were brought to the facility from various villages and mandals across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Before arriving at the old age home, many of these elderly individuals, particularly women, faced severe hardships. Some were left to beg on the streets to survive, having been abandoned by their families, including sons, daughters, and in-laws. Through counseling and compassionate motivation, we successfully helped them transition away from such harsh conditions and brought them into a nurturing environment where they can live with dignity.
At Happy Old Age Home, we ensure that all residents receive comprehensive care. This includes three nutritious meals a day, clean and comfortable accommodation, regular medical check-ups, and essential medicines. The meals are carefully planned to meet their nutritional needs, promoting better health and well-being.
The transformation in their lives has been remarkable. Today, these elders are happier and healthier, finding solace in the safe and supportive atmosphere of the ashram. Many of them no longer dwell on their painful pasts but instead embrace the care and companionship they now receive. Regular health check-ups by medical experts have significantly improved their physical well-being, allowing them to enjoy their golden years in peace and comfort.
None of this would have been possible without your generous support. Your contributions through the esteemed organization GlobalGiving have played a crucial role in sustaining this initiative and offering hope to these vulnerable elders.
On behalf of the residents and the team at SERUDS, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and unwavering support. Together, we are bringing smiles and comfort to the lives of those who once had none.
