Restoring Dignity and Care: Supporting Abandoned Elderly with Compassion and Comfort

Respected Donors,

Warm greetings from SERUDS

We extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support in caring for destitute elderly individuals who have been abandoned by their sons and daughters. Your contributions have enabled us to bring dignity, comfort, and hope to these vulnerable individuals.

We have identified 20 elderly persons, aged between 65 and 90 years, from various villages across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Our dedicated volunteers and staff work tirelessly in these communities, identifying neglected elderly individuals with the help of local leaders and motivating them to join our Happy Old Age Home.

Before coming to the old age home, many of these individuals faced unimaginable hardships, with some resorting to begging on the streets just to survive. Through compassionate counseling, we have helped them leave behind those struggles and embrace a life of dignity and respect.

At the Happy Old Age Home, we provide essential items such as clothes, bedsheets, and other necessities to ensure their comfort. Each day, we serve nutritious meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, tailored to meet their dietary needs. To ensure their well-being, we have appointed three dedicated caretakers who look after their daily needs and provide them with a safe, nurturing environment.

In addition to basic care, we prioritize their health. Regular medical check-ups are conducted at the Government General Hospital, where they receive care from expert physicians. With this holistic approach, many of the elderly residents have experienced significant improvements in their health and overall quality of life. Some have even regained the confidence and strength to perform small tasks independently within the home, further boosting their sense of self-reliance and self-worth.

Your philanthropy has been the cornerstone of our ability to achieve these goals and make a tangible difference in the lives of these neglected elderly individuals. Without your generous and continued support, it would be incredibly challenging for us to serve the destitute and needy in a timely and effective manner.

On behalf of the residents at our Happy Old Age Home, we express our heartfelt thanks for standing with us in this noble cause. Together, we are giving these elderly individuals not just shelter and care but a renewed sense of hope and belonging.
