Dear Donors,
By March, 2016, One-egg program has been covering 15 elementary schools in Lijiang of Yunnan province. The program has ensured 1,689 children and teachers in poverty-sticken area of Lijiang one egg a day.
50-60% of students in this program need 3-4 hours to walk to school every day. They indeed often miss the breakfast, because the family can not really provide nutritional food for them or even no enough food as for breakfast. The little one egg a day have definitely provide them with more energy to stay awake for the whole day.
This is just one example among all one-egg program schools. All together, one-egg program has been supporting 67 schools in 4 provinces in western China, including Yunnan province, Sichuan province, Guangxi province and Guizhou province. From 2011 till now, the program is keeping lifting up the living condition of these kids by simply giving them an egg a day~
