Esmeralda and Félix: A Path to a Better Future
Esmeralda and Félix are siblings who have faced challenges from a very young age. Their family moved to Los Cabos five years ago, seeking a better future. However, reality has been difficult. They currently live in an informal settlement called Caribe Bajo, where there is no access to potable water. This forces their mother, a hardworking woman and devoted parent, to buy water daily, an additional expense that impacts the family’s finances.
Despite these challenges, Esmeralda and Félix are enthusiastically attending elementary school. Since joining the foundation, they have received not only educational support but also access to proper nutrition and donations of fruits and vegetables, which have improved their academic performance and health. Fundación Sarahuaro has not only been a cornerstone of their education but has also relieved part of their mother’s burden, allowing her to focus on giving them a better future.
They are an example of how, with the right support, adversities can be overcome, paving the way toward a more promising future.
