One Helmet, One Life: Road Safety in Pakistan
Dear Friend,
Because of your support, we have taken the first steps toward protecting vulnerable riders and their families in Pakistan. Even though our fundraising journey has just begun—with $20 raised so far—this small start is already building momentum for lasting change. Every gift matters, and your trust inspires us to push forward.
The Reality We See Every Day
In Pakistan, a single motorbike often carries an entire family—father, mother, and children—all unprotected. Helmets are proven lifesavers, yet thousands of families cannot afford them. Each year, over 15,000 lives are lost on the roads, and nearly 40% are motorbike riders who die from preventable head injuries.
During one of our recent visits, we met Ali, a young father of two, who rides 12 miles daily to earn a small wage. He has never owned a helmet, because the cost competes with food for his children. When asked about road safety, Ali simply said, “I pray every day to return home safely. A helmet could mean my children still have a father tomorrow.” Stories like Ali’s remind us why this project matters.
Your Impact
Your generosity allows us to plan bulk helmet purchases, making each donation stretch further. Our immediate goal is $1,500, which will fund the distribution of high-quality helmets and awareness sessions in high-risk communities. Each helmet we place on a rider’s head is more than gear—it is hope, dignity, and a chance to live another day.
Looking Ahead
With your continued support, we can spark a culture shift in Pakistan where helmets are no longer seen as optional but as a right for every rider. Fewer tragedies mean fewer orphaned children and stronger, safer communities.
Thank You
You are helping us move from tragedy to transformation. Together, we can ensure that one simple gift—a helmet—saves lives and keeps families whole.
With gratitude,
The Moses Welfare Foundation Team
