As part of the support provided to vulnerable families in southern Guayaquil, 25 food kits were distributed to pregnant women and mothers with children under two years of age. The beneficiaries are residents of vulnerable sectors of the city, including Santiaguito de Roldós, Los Esteros, and Suburbio, where families may face economic and social challenges that can affect their access to adequate and nutritious food.
The food kits were delivered with the purpose of supporting the nutritional needs of pregnant women and young children during a critical stage of their development. Providing essential food products contributes to strengthening household food security and helps families maintain access to basic nutritional resources. This assistance is particularly relevant for mothers and young children living in communities where limited household income and other socioeconomic conditions can increase their vulnerability to food insecurity.
This initiative represents a concrete action to support the well-being of pregnant women and children during the first years of life, a period that is essential for healthy growth and development. Through the delivery of these 25 food kits, the program seeks to provide immediate nutritional support while reinforcing its commitment to vulnerable families in southern Guayaquil and contributing to improved food security within the communities of Santiaguito de Roldós, Los Esteros, and Suburbio.
