Since COVID-19 human world has continued to offer access to preventative wellness through online services. We have teachers from around the world that facilitate amazing offerings that are made available to anyone with access to the Internet. We aim to make it easy for younger people to join and feel welcome and a part of the community. We have up to five daily classes ranging from yoga, meditation, tai chi, Reiki, EFT, Journaling, Sound Therapy, Journaling and more.
Statistics paint a concerning picture of the mental health challenges faced by young adults and adolescents, particularly exacerbated by the pandemic. The closure of universities, transitions to remote work, and financial instability have all contributed to heightened levels of anxiety and depression among young people. COVID-19 pandemic triggered a 25% increase in prevalence of anxiety and depression worldwide.
Yoga, Tai Chi and meditation are mind-body practices that benefit our overall health. Not only are both of these practices very much accessible, but they are also quite effective at bringing the body and mind into an optimal state of balance. They induce several neurophysiological mechanisms helping to promote parasympathetic dominance, calming many of the body's systems, including the mind. Classes also create a sense of community. Accessibility to a live instructor and classmates is crucial.
These wellness practices have been found to exert physiological effects on both the body and mind. This could be primarily due to their significant role in modulating stress on a physiological level, having vast implications for our health in terms of immunity, inflammation, and mental health. This can lower stress, anxiety and depression in communities.
