We are the only wildlife rescue organisation in South Australia with our own on-site vet clinic, this ensures that the wildlife we rescue 24/7 receive the quickest and best possible care, but this all comes at a cost. We don't receive any government funding for the rehabilitation & veterinary service we provide to our community and rely on your generous donations to keep operating. We don't receive any government funding for the services we provide. Our amazing team of vets, who assist us around full-time jobs and family commitments, have been run off their feet, with an influx of critical care koalas that require ongoing vet treatment. We are desperately raising funds to employ a full-time vet to keep up with the demand for our veterinary services and ensure we can continue to provide quality welfare outcomes to all the wildlife that come to us needing veterinary care.
This project will kickstart our fundraising efforts to raise funds to go towards a full-time vet. Once employed it will enable us to provide quality veterinary treatment, take the burden of wildlife treatment off of already strained private vet clinics, be able to put further time into creating research cases and share this learned knowledge with the wider vet community to get a standard quality of care for our wildlife.
