AHD Initiative for Rural Communities of Pakistan
The rural areas of Pakistan communities was drinking contaminated canal water for drinking purposes then AHD focused on this issue and introduced their innovation named as Nadi filter Unit. Presently, it is contributing their part in access of safe drinking water. This community based solution model helped the indigenous people in terms filtering the water from 98% to 100% and removes biological contamination. Since 2003 to 2018 AHD installed more than 50,000 Nadi filter units and thousands of families in rural areas get benefited by it. This sustainable and remarkable innovation of AHD is changing the lives of vulnerable communities. AHD trained the community activist to make the Nadi filter unit at household level and they are delivering the same message to other community members.
