Some 95 Nadi filter units installed in Matli area quarterly report
Floods 2012 again damaged and distributed lot of families in Pakistan and mostly poor rural families lost their food stuff, houses, crops and infrastructure like drinking water sources. Majority of the rural families affected by floods drinking polluted and contaminated canal water at their household level. Water borne diseases disturbed their life and most of their children sick and in hospitals. in this difficult situation AHD visited near Matli area some 25 villages and provided them with awareness on safe drinking Nadi filter and constructed some 95 new Nadi filter units which will be saving health of about 3,550 people living in 25 villages, further villagers asked to install their own Nadi filter units as they got training and skills.
