Title: Winter Packages Distributed to Vulnerable Families in Kot Addu
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation distributed 100 winter packages to vulnerable and flood-affected families in Kot Addu, Punjab, helping them stay warm and protected during the harsh winter season.
This initiative is part of Alkhidmat’s ongoing nationwide winter and flood-relief response, through which over PKR 2.5 billion (approx. USD 9 million) has been spent so far to support disaster-affected communities across Pakistan.
Story / Update
After the floods damaged homes and livelihoods in Kot Addu, hundreds of families continue to struggle with extreme cold weather, inadequate shelter, and limited resources. Children, elderly individuals, and women are particularly vulnerable to winter-related illnesses such as pneumonia, respiratory infections, and hypothermia.
To address these urgent needs, Alkhidmat Foundation distributed 100 winter packages containing warm quilts, shawls, sweaters, thermal wear, socks, caps, and other essential items. These packages provide immediate relief and much-needed warmth to families living in difficult conditions.
Community members expressed their gratitude for this timely support, which has helped them protect their children and elderly relatives from severe cold.
