Thank you for supporting PKU children in Gaza. Because of you, these children had access to essential medical formula and nutritional guidance designed specifically for their condition.
Due to the ongoing war and lack of access to essential medical foods, children with PKU are at increased risk of brain damage. Their situation is no different from that of other children in Gaza who are experiencing hunger and malnutrition. According to the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), over 50,000 children in the Gaza Strip urgently need medical treatment for severe malnutrition.
Despite the challenging conditions, Rebuilding Alliance remains committed to supporting the health and well-being of PKU children with your help. Donna Baranski-Walker, the Founder and Executive Director, led Rebuilding Alliance to meet with Ard El Insan on June 29th in Egypt. Some of the board and staff members of Ard El Insan, a non-governmental organization and Rebuilding Alliance's partner for this program in Gaza, were able to leave Gaza before the borders closed.
The discussion focused on taking urgent measures to help PKU children in Gaza.
Thank you for your continued support. We will keep you updated. Together, we can provide children with PKU the necessary nutrition to maintain good health.
