My guess is that you can relate entirely in your own life circumstance to how I would describe the universal themes of this day:
Empathy has been my sustenance over my dedicated time in Morocco, journeying alongside countless many people pursuing the HAF mission. The life experiences of people of Morocco expressed to us forges development paths, pull our hearts, and present worlds of opportunities. The feeling I get after decades of people of all ages conveying their life conditions remains my propulsion.
Reflection is necessarily part of the empathy experience. It makes us grateful, frustrated, and determined to assist communities creating the change they want dearly. It shapes us as friends, family members, and colleagues. We base courses on this reflection, which illuminate concepts, help guide our actions, and reveal consequences toward greater scale.
So on this cool sunny day, or rainy, snow-filled, or dry as it may be, here is to feeling strangers passing by who have worries and may feel denied, and our benefit of the doubt coming forward for the sake of compassion and mercy for one and all, and for us too.
